Math Placement Calculations
You can use your high school records for math placement if you meet one of the following requirements:
- Currently in the 9-12th grade
- Graduated from a US high school within the last 10 years before the start of the semester.
Understanding your Math Placement for Fall 2024:

Tier 3 | Passed Algebra 2 or Integrated Math 3 with C or better and have a HS GPA of 2.7 and above | Eligible for Math 9, 10, 15, 16, 25, 27, 74 |
Tier 2 | Passed Algebra 2 or Integrated Math 3 with C or better and have a HS GPA less than 2.7 |
Eligible for Math 25 with concurrent enrollment in Math 225* Eligible for Math 9 or 16. If taking Math 9 or 16, concurrent enrollment in support class Math 200 is recommended. Eligible for Math 10, 15. If taking Math 15, concurrent enrollment in support class Math 215 is recommended. Eligible for Math 74 |

*If SRJC does not offer Math 200 or Math 225, then students in Tiers 1 & 2 are eligible for Math 9 and 25.
